TOXANDRIA is a hybrid region that overlaps northern Belgium and the southern Netherlands, and consists largely out of the Brabantian and Loonish (Limburgian) provinces from both countries. It is the larger region around the agricultural area known as the Campine (Kempen). What exactly unifies Toxandria is its enclosed location, and its cultural and historical background and similarities. Lying at the core of the Benelux, and on the northern banks of the rivers Meuse (Maas), Lower Rhine (Rijn, Rhin) & Scheldt (Schelde, Escaut), TOXANDRIA has been a region of historical division and unification, on the frontlines of world-altering conflicts and treaties.
